Collect: Almighty God, who wonderfully created us in your own image and yet more wonderfully restored us through your Son Jesus Christ: grant that, as he came to share in our humanity, so we may share the life of his divinity; who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen

Morning Prayer in church:

There will be no Morning Prayer until Saturday 8th January at 9.30am and then resumes as regular weekday Morning Prayer Monday to Thursday at 8.30am and Saturday Morning Prayer at 9.30am.

 

St Paul’s open for private prayer:

The church will not be open for private prayer on Saturday December 25th (10am Eucharist) nor on Saturday January 1st 2022 but will resume on Saturday January 8th from 10am to 11am.

 

St Paul’s Prayer Group:

St Paul’s Prayer Group will resume on Thursday January 6th at 10am.

Dilys Palmer

We know everyone will be saddened to hear that our friend Dilys died peacefully at home, on Sunday, December 19th. Dilys will be missed by everyone at St Paul’s and we have all been blessed by having her in our lives. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her.

Details of her funeral will be shared as soon as they have been arranged.

Notices

Walk-In Nativity: there is still time to join us for a Nativity trail through the church and the Parish Centre on Christmas Eve (Thursday 24th Dec). Drop in any time between 11am to 2pm. The trail will tell the Christmas story through different activities for children of all ages. Everyone welcome.

Changes to Morning Prayer, the church opening for private prayer and the Prayer Group: please see the details on the Services page of this newsletter for details of when these will sessions will resume after Christmas.

Safeguarding Training at St Paul’s: a training session will be held at St Paul’s on Saturday January 15th 2022. Further details to follow.
