Holy Week at St Paul’s:
There is an extra leaflet included with this newsletter showing all the Holy Week services at St Paul’s. All the services (except Compline) will be in church and will also live-streamed on Zoom. Following the services they will then be available on YouTube.
Remember to book your place for Easter Sunday Eucharist. There is no need to book for the other services during Holy Week.

Praying at home in Holy Week:
A new booklet has been produced for you to use at home for Palm Sunday and each day of Holy Week.

Lent Course: 
We will be holding the last session of the Deanery Lent course, Jesus’ love in action, on Saturday March 20th at 10am following morning prayer.

Collect and readings for the 5th Sunday of Lent, 21 March    

Collect:  Most merciful God, who by the death and resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ delivered and saved the world: grant that by faith in him who suffered on the cross we may triumph in the power of his victory; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Gospel:   John 12: 20 - 33

Collect and readings for Palm Sunday, 28 March  

Collect:  Almighty and everlasting God, who in your tender love towards the human race sent your Son our Saviour Jesus Christ to take upon him our flesh and to suffer death upon the cross: grant that we may follow the example of his patience and humility, and also be made partakers of his resurrection; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Services for the next two weeks

Upcoming services: all Eucharist services held in church will be live-streamed on Zoom and then available on YouTube.

To book a place to attend each Sunday 10am Eucharist service please contact the Vicar. No booking is needed for Wednesday 10am Eucharist services or for the Holy Week services.

Morning Prayer Mon-Thurs at 8.30am via Zoom and Sat at 9.30am also via Zoom.

Everyone is invited to join privately in prayer from home at the same time as Morning and Evening Prayer are being said.  If you are not joining services online, Liturgies of the Word are also provided with this newsletter for Sunday 21 March and Thursday 25 March. There is a separate booklet containing the services for Palm Sunday and Holy Week.

Notices

St Paul’s Lent fundraising: you can still make a donation to our Lent charities while we are not able to hold the Soup and Roll lunches. There is a box at the back of church for cash donations or you can use the links on the website to donate electronically. Contact Lilian Martin if you need further information.

Annual Parochial Church Meeting: this will now be held on April 18^th 2021. Notice of the meeting will be displayed/circulated from 28^th March and the report for 2020 will be available from 4^th April. At the APCM there will be elections for 3 new PCC members; please contact the PCC secretary for nomination forms.
