Dr Terry Mason: The churchwardens are taking a collection for a presentation to Dr Terry Mason as a token of thanksgiving for his many years of service as organist and Director of Music at St Paul's church. Please, donations preferably through bank transfer or talk to the Churchwardens. The presentation will be given to Terry on Sunday 18th September during the 10am service. Thank you very much. 

Celebrating Seasons Art Exhibition: come and take some time out of your day to slow down and enjoy the creative endeavours of  members of the local community, supported by Whitley Bay Big Local. Friday 5th and Saturday 6th August 10am to 4pm and Sunday 7th August 12.30pm to 4pm at St Mary’s Church Claremont Road, Monkseaton. 

Fiesta WB: a date for your diary, the next Fiesta Whitley Bay will be held on Sunday 4th September.

Clarification: the information given in the latest edition of The Gate about Morning Prayer should read: Morning Prayer from Monday to Wednesday at 8.30 am and Saturday at 9.30 am in church, Thursday morning at 8.30 am at St Peter's Monkseaton. 

St Paul’s Prayer Corner and Prayer cards: Please remember we have the prayer corner at the back of church for quiet prayer, for lighting a candle and we also have prayer cards if you would like to leave a prayer request or a name to be prayed for. 

Sunday Club at St Paul’s: after the break during the school summer holiday, St Paul’s Sunday Club will restart on Sunday 25th September and will then be held on the 4th Sunday of each month during the 10am Sunday morning service. All children are welcome to attend. Please speak to Debbie Frazer or Sue Day for further information
